Biography

Guido already played main parts in theatre projects in his school years, so the wish of becoming an actor grew very early on. But he had to go a different way to achieve that goal.

One day a friend took him to a childrens dance class. Guido immediately loved the kinds of movement, the music and rhythms. His teacher was that time world champion Patsy Hull, who didnt only bring him to jazzdance, but competition dancing also. For the next five years he danced at natonal and international competitions and show events with Clarissa Moser. Besides their home trainers Michael and Patsy Hull and Linda Pettersen they also had lessons in London with worldfamous teachers. After a short intermezzo with a dancer from Finland Guido danced another year in the junior class with Angelika Demski. During the summer Guido went to London again to look for a new partner and take jazz and ballet lessons every day. British champion Barbara McColl introduced him to Tamara Tinti from Italy. The couple started taking lessons with best known teachers such as Walter and Julie Laird, Michael Stylianos and Alan and Hazel Fletcher (all World Professional Latinamerican champions themselves).

During this period Guido watched many West-End theatre productions which again made him want to become an actor himself. In Tamaras parents studio in Italy Guido started to teach beginners and competition couples which was quite difficult because he couldnt really speak Italian at the time. A serious illness brought Guido back to Germany where he met Ulrike Teepe. They decided to do jazz-shows together. Only few months later they found themselves in the final round of the German championships which was the ticket to the European and World Championships the following year. At the same time Guido took acting and singing lessons with Simon Dye. In July he met Sangita Soomro from Latvia who lived in Pforzheim at the time. They only danced a few Latinamerican competitions together, before Guido finally decided to study acting at any highschool.

The next three years turned out to be the hardest in his life to day: Besides his acting lessons he had singing lessons at music school with sopranist Alenusch Melkonian, danced a lot of shows with Ulrike Teepe all over Europe and became choreographer and coach of different formation teams. He also played main parts in school productions "Amadeus" by Peter Shaffer and "Huis clos" by Jean-Paul Sartre. Only four weeks after finishing school he went to Cyclades island Ios, Greece to play "King Oedipus" and "Jason" at the "Antique Tragedy Project 2002", direced by Reinhard Papula. Right after that he gave an evil priest in Andrew Lloyd Webbers rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar" at Stdtische Bhnen Mnster, directed by Thomas Dietrich. Between shows Guido played little parts in different TV-series.

The next challenge was to come, when Guido and Ulrike signed a contract with Hapag-Lloyds Cruise liner "MS Europa", where they would have to perform a 60-minute solo-show. Guido got the idea for the title of the show: "Time machine". They opened the evening by dancing a Paso-doble to a Classical sounding piece of music, continued to a 50s swing-jive and portrayed the 60s with a medley of the musical "Hair". Another highlight was the 70s disco-show, where both performed solos, too. The 80s and 90s showed up with Miami-sound and HipHop. The final built a new segue to "Yellos" futuristic sounding music and was choreographed by Michael Hull. The premiere of "Time machine" was audienced by stars as Armin Mueller-Stahl and Kurt Masur.

In 2003 Guido was more than pleased with the good results of his formation teams and started to do new innvating choreographies. Besides that he wrote on a script for a short movie, that was meant to be filmed in the autumn of the year. Unfortunately this was not to happen due to personal reasons of the actors. Therefore he again did a few TV appearances in Sat 1 series "K 11- Komissare im Einsatz" and RTL-series "Das Familiengericht".

In spring of 2004 Guido became a stage-dancer for the first time, when he performed "Balletgala", choreographed by Helga Hemala-Fischer at Eggenfeldens Theater a. d. Rott.

In 2005 Guido directed a charity show called „Journey through life“ that featured professional singers Daniela Römer and Simon Dye as well as dancers Michael, Patsy and Damian Hull and a cast of young talented amateurs who performed in a sold out town hall for the benefit of the “Hospiz veritas” in Lübbecke. Afterwards there was a great gala event and Guido sang a couple of songs accompanied by a local band named “7 beats”.

The following year he choreographed for stage and formation teams such interesting shows as “Westside Story” and “James Bond” and was asked to play “Jesus” in a gospel mass called “Gloria” that toured through different cities of Germany. Besides that he was seen in various Tv-shows.

Inspired by the success of “Journey through life” Guido directed another play in 2007. “Die phantastische Reise” premiered in February and was audienced by more than 3.000 people, who were captured by the adventures of three little girls on a world trip. Patron of the 120 cast show was the ex-minister of Schleswig-Holstein, “Heide Simonis”. During the spring of 2007 Guido was busy choreographing another musical entitled “Cinderella”. Right after the premiere Guido and Ulrike Teepe went aboard the MS Europa for the second time to do a new 60-minute dance show called “Sea cruise”, that showed call their capabilities at different dance styles. But also Guido performed a full length live- concert of love songs titled “Luv, Guido.

Right after that rehearsals began for the next show: “15 Jahre Tanzschule Ingrid”. Guido and Catherine Kieskemper hosted the show by playing short sketches and also performed a Tango Argentino. Later that year they did a photo shoot together to promote reading for the local library.

By the end of 2008 had an idea for a new charity musical event. Immediately he began rehearsing. The show´s premiere is on Friday the 4th of September 2009 and tickets are on sale right now.
